We’re looking for a Head of Paid Search to join our fast-growing London team. You’ll play a key role in both formulating and executing our Paid Search strategy at global level, ensuring full coverage across 14 languages.
We’re looking for someone who gets search, is data-driven and understands how users behave in search in order to provide them with the best experience. We’re a little different to what you might be used to though. At Wise we’re on a mission to empower our users to make smarter financial decisions based on transparent information. What you’ll be doing
You’ll work across Google Ads, Bing, Yahoo! Japan and Apple Search Ads on an activity spanning multiple markets, languages and products. The key areas you’ll work on are:
Coverage
- You’ll optimise coverage across our ever-growing range of search engines; markets; languages; products and use cases
- You’ll continually scale and test new types of coverage to reach more users over time (and the thought of doing this is a challenge you’re keen to get stuck into!)
Optimisation
- From campaign structure to negatives, to creatives, to extensions, to automating our processes... you’ll set clear goals for our optimisation activity and drive growth by moving the needle on QS and reach within our acquisition constraints
Conversion, product
- You’ll work closely with our product team to provide our users with the product experience and content they need to be exposed to, to make sure they understand the benefits of using Wise
Team Management, planning, reporting
- You’ll lead a more junior team member with the opportunity to assess resourcing and plan for additional hires in line with growth areas
- You’ll work with the team to defining our quarterly and monthly planning
- You’ll deliver the reporting capabilities we need to ensure we’re moving in the right direction across all aspects of our activity and you’ll be able to build a robust plan against this
- You’ll work with other teams in Marketing and the wider business to share learnings, collaborate on projects, always making sure we put our customers first
- Have a background in running large, successful direct response search campaigns for a fast-growing business or agency, ideally across multiple markets and languages. Any experience with translations is a bonus
- Put the customer first, always. There is no point in doing search unless you understand how you’re helping the end user
- Are an optimisation guru. You live and breath campaign performance data and know exactly what levers to pull when optimising a campaign against specific KPIs
- Are an Excel wizard, comfortable with complex reports, formulas and pivot tables, and not afraid of spending a lot of your time in spreadsheets
- Understand how Paid Search fits into the user journey and works alongside other channels such as Paid Social, Affiliates, Paid Display, Audio & SEO
- Are proactive and able to prioritise projects on impact, with a low level of supervision
