VF International is looking for an exceptional Privacy Program Manager to join our EMEA Legal team based in Stabio, Switzerland.
As Privacy Program Manager you will be inserted in the EMEA Digital & Privacy Center of Excellence within the Law Team EMEA, under the supervision of the DPO & Sr Digital Counsel EMEA, and will manage important aspects of VF’s EMEA Privacy Program.
You will develop, maintain and enact typical GDPR compliance processes, procedures and resources for VF in the EMEA region and will help the team manage complex projects to advance the maturity of the privacy program and maintain high-standard compliance in VF’s multi-jurisdiction, B2C eco-system.
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:
Develop, maintain and enact VF’s GDPR compliance processes and procedures, such as Privacy-By-Design, Data Protection Impact Assessments, Data Subject Requests, Data Breach, Record of Processing Activities, instructions for persons in charge of processing activities.
Develop and maintain the necessary information flows and record-keeping procedures of privacy-relevant events, and liaise with all relevant business functions, to help the company meet its accountability obligations.
Coordinate the update of the policy documentation and its implementation and dissemination across the organization.
Develop and maintain shared online spaces for the team to share knowledge and provide self-service capabilities to legal and non-legal business stakeholders.
Support the team with project management and project coordination activities, both in the GDPR compliance and digital business areas (multi-jurisdiction e-commerce compliance projects, drafting and update of consumer-facing terms and conditions, and similar). Develops and oversees project plans, ensures project objectives are met in agreed timeframes, also with multiple workstreams at the same time.
Build and maintain awareness on digital & privacy compliance topics, including by means of communication and training and liaises with VF’s Corporate Communications and Ethics & Compliance functions in their communication and training plans.
Create reports and presentation material for legal and non-legal stakeholders.
Skills for Success
You should be a conscientious focus, strong work ethic and diligent attention to details professional with 5-7 year experience in law firm, consultancy firm and/or in-house with digital compliance-related assignments, preferably in an international environment with:
Solid knowledge of European data protection laws (as applied to both consumer and employment contexts, including sensitive data) and at least basic knowledge about information security standards and practices.
Proven self-organization and project management skills.
Proficient in English. German, French, Italian are an asset.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Compliance management certification is preferred. IAPP CIPM, or similar certification, is strongly preferred.
A University Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law or other field related to the management of privacy or other compliance frameworks is required.
