Build and Release Engineer - DevOps

Description

The Alfresco Platform Engineering team owns the development of solutions for the Digital Business Platform. These solutions include products which allow companies to practice compliant Information Governance (IG) processes; manage enterprise content and processes; provide intelligence and analytics; and enable other applications to connect to the platform through a suite of integrations. We are looking for an Operations Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team to help us manage the infrastructure, processes and practices for building and releasing software.

You will work as part of team to develop solutions with enable our delivery teams to move to a process of continuous delivery. You will work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment where success is about the effective delivery of quality software solutions by the team as a whole.

• Be part of a build and release engineering team, using Scrum, XP and Lean software development practices

• Provide assistance and support in the creation of enterprise and community releases of components of the Alfresco Digital Business Platform

• Partner with IT, Engineering, Product Management and Program Delivery to identify, prioritise and address requests related to the build and release infrastructure and practices

• Help the team to improve their approach to delivery and automation, through peer reviews, developing new practices and creating new tooling

• Collaborate with teams and engineers around the world

• Learn about AWS, the Alfresco Platform, and Software Development practices from your talented colleagues, attending conferences or formal training programmes

• Play a role in the internal operations community of practice, as well as in the wider open source community
