Senior UI/UX Designer - Fix Term Contract (Maternity leave cover)

About the opportunity

The Alfresco Experience Design team seeks a highly motivated senior UI/UX designer to manage the definition and design of the cross-platform design standards and UI component library. The standards and components are a critical part in Alfresco’s vision to enable businesses to achieve accelerated time to value by developing and deploying their mission critical business applications, as well as delivering a consistently great, end to end Alfresco Digital Business Platform experience “out of the box.”

In this role, you will manage the XD standards and the UI component library, working closely with the Alfresco Developer Framework team. You will design new UI components for the library, ensuring they incorporate existing standard and affordances and meet user needs. To help us deliver on our goal of a consistently great UX, you will help oversee the incorporation of design standards in the team’s product designs, and when needed, assist in bringing designs to production ready quality. 

Key job responsibilities

You will take the lead in extending and maintaining our UI Standards and component library by designing individual components, and when needed, designing the contextual UI the components reside in. You’ll collaborate with XD designers and researchers, product management, and the software leads to produce UI components. You’ll also participate in design reviews, to help ensure Alfresco is providing engaging and intuitive product experiences that address user problems faced everyday by knowledge workers in enterprise environments.
