We are looking for an Event Coordinator to join our team in Berlin!

As an Event Coordinator, your mission will be to drive all external events, meet-ups, talks, career fairs at Babbel and be responsible for their budget, as well as organising and coordinating planning efforts. You will be closely working with several departments in the company such as Finance, Office Management, Human Resources, PR/Communications, Marketing, IT Support, etc. 

You will: 

  • Design, budget and execute events like meet-ups for talent acquisition, job fairs, leadership days, speeches, external visits at Babbel, etc.
  • Act as a link for Employer Branding by owning decision-making processes on event management together with PR/Communications, Human Resources and Office Management
  • Take responsibility and process ownership from start to finish
  • Collaborate with service providers and network partners as well as identify locations for off-sites etc.
  • Drive promotions for events together with PR/Communications
  • Identify opportunities to negotiate with vendors, caterers, and locations, as well as research and set-up of material, service and additional offers for the events
  • Analyse and report on successes
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders inside Babbel (Finance, Office Management, PR/ Communications, Marketing, Human Resources, etc.)
  • Take responsibility for event budgets
  • You have: 

  • Solid experience in design and organising events of various sizes (10-600 participants)
  • Completed training or educational background in event management
  • Inner motivation to successfully plan and execute events 
  • Confidence when handling internal customers and external service providers as well as the ability to single-handedly own the area of responsibility
  • High engagement and flexibility
  • Distinguished communication and teamwork skills

    We are looking for a Big Data Engineer with Dev Ops experience (full-time) to start immediately in our office in Berlin-Mitte, Germany. In your role, in the Data Engineering team you will evolve our existing data infrastructure and build data services that help build and sell next generation customer features.

    Our data engineering team owns the infrastructure that makes the vast amount of data accessible, reliable and efficient to query, so our teams can make the best data-driven decisions. You will work closely with Analytics, Marketing, Product, Engineering and Finance to ensure they all can collect and action data.

    Your role:

  • Utilize various open source technologies
  • Use Terraform to orchestrate and rollout our solutions
  • Build independent microservices and serverless solutions
  • Write scripts and automation using Python/Bash/Perl
  • Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Elasticsearch, S3, etc
  • Understand how various systems work
  • Understand how IT operations are managed
  • Manage source control with GIT

    We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join our LingoVentura team in Berlin!

    In your role as an Engineer with LingoVentura your mission will be working on rebuilding and the further development of a web platform providing a full service for finding, organising and booking language exchanges and all services behind (finding the schools, courses, guest families or hostels and additional activities).

    Beat, Babbel's Creative Services Team, is seeking for a Working Student Video Producer to support the in-house Audio-Visual Team.

    In this role, you will collaborate closely with the AV-Team and help to produce kickass videos with a focus on our marketing channels (such as Social Media, Babbel Magazine).     Der Babbel Kundenservice besteht aus einem internationalen Team und beantwortet Anfragen in sieben verschiedenen Sprachen.
