We are looking for Senior iOS developer - Platform to join our Mobile Platform Team in our office in Berlin, Germany!

In your role as Senior iOS Developer, your mission will be to change the future of language learning. You will work in a mobile platform team and closely collaborate with (iOS) engineers, designers, and stakeholders to bring this mission to reality for Babbel learners. 

You will:

• Be part of iOS engineering development cycle and drive core decisions in the future of our iOS app(s)
• Maintain and proactively improve the overall technology stack and infrastructure of the iOS app(s)
• Prepare and communicate improvement strategies to product iOS engineers
• Collaborate cross-functionally to inform design and architectural decisions on a company level
• Drive key decisions in the future of our frontend/mobile app(s)
• Independently focus on continuous learning and improvement while actively sharing knowledge with colleagues
• Mentor other iOS engineers on their career development path

You have:

• Several complex iOS apps behind you developed with: Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI, RxSwift, MVVM, Unit tests with Quick/Nimble, Tuist (no more “*.xcodeproj” merging), CocoaPods, RESTful APIs, WebView integration, JS-injection, ComposableArchitecture, Combine, uni-directional architectures in general, Functional Programming
• Enjoyment in finding ways to improve the existing code base: Passion for modern, optimal, secure, performant, and scalable solutions, experience effectively leading complex architecture discussion with (iOS) engineers, drive discussions towards proposals, RFC, and implementation, knowledge of how to balance and prioritize solutions based on requirements from multiple stakeholders
• Ability to maintain and develop CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Fastlane, Bitrise, Github Actions
• Good knowledge for analysing, developing, supporting, and monitoring system, health, and performance metrics
• Experience with integrating and maintaining 3rd part SDKs as well as communicating with external partners
• Fluency in written and spoken English
