We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our highly technical Python driven team!

You will:

• Conduct data analysis, reporting, data visualisation, dashboarding, provide actionable insight based on Babbel’s data and on the team’s machine learning models
• Communicate with stakeholders in various parts of the business, especially marketing and finance, emphatically understanding their questions and translating them into feasible analyses. Explain your analytical results and guide the analytical process
• Support the team in evolving our data models and ETL processes.
• Support evaluation, selection and rollout of self service BI tools.
• Work in close collaboration with the team’s highly skilled data scientists and machine learning specialists.

You have:

• Minimum 2,5 years experience in data analysis in a commercial setting, preferably with Python 3 and Pandas. If you are very strong with R and willing to learn Python, that’s ok, too.
• Excellent communication skills and experience in translating the language of stakeholders into the language of data and vice versa. Ability to guide the analytical process with stakeholders with varying degrees of experience with data.
• Experience with data visualisation (charts, dashboards).
• Solid understanding of SQL.
• Good command of Python 3, or of R and willingness to learn Python.
• Basic exposure to statistics.

Nice to have:

• Experience in software development with Python.
• Some experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
• Basic understanding of or interest in machine learning.
• Some experience with BI tools (beyond Excel) and BI rollouts.
