Engineering Lead (venture CTO) (m/f)

BCG Digital Ventures invents, builds, scales and invests in startups with the world's most influential companies. We are looking for additional Engineering Leads in Berlin to define and implement the technical strategy for our ventures. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an Engineering Lead, you will work closely with Venture Leadership (across Product Management, Design, Business etc.) in order to align technology development with business and product objectives. In the initial ideation phase, you will leverage your Engineering experience in order to consult diverse stakeholders in software development, conducting initial technical feasibility studies and advising on current technology trends. In one of our Incubations, you will be the Venture CTO: a hands-on product builder who defines the tech stack, leads the Engineering team, and updates the necessary partners on key milestones. Finally, in one of our launched ventures: you will further scale the product and team, and ensure a smooth handover for all Engineering aspects of the new startup… before rolling off to your next project ;) 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

For the Engineering Lead role, we are looking for Engineers with extensive technical and leadership experience. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience in some of our core technologies (see below). Additionally, you will need to be comfortable in a cross-functional working environment with previous experience leading Agile teams and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders. A minimum of five years commercial experience is necessary for the role.
