• the ongoing migration from a monolith architecture hosted on-prem to a service-oriented architecture living fully in the Google Cloud Platform, from a PHP / Symfony stack towards a Java / JS dominated one.

• exciting product evolutions, based on smart geo-matching and practical algorithms that give a personalized experience to each individual user.

We’re looking for a seasoned manager to lead the four teams (around 30 engineers) responsible for a wide range of backend topics, from monetization and payment projects to geo-matching, search and API components.

What you will directly contribute to:

As Head of Platform Engineering, you will be accountable for the delivery of your teams, ensuring they work in the most impactful and efficient way towards the company objectives. You’ll be responsible for finding the right balance between short-term deliverables and mid- and long-term technical and business strategy.

Key qualities include:

• Ability to deep-dive on and challenge technical solutions to find the right compromise between product, business and engineering objectives, short-term and long-term, ensuring quality and reliability of the components your teams are responsible for,

• Leading a team of engineering managers with various seniority levels, helping them grow in all directions,

• Creating and nurturing a culture of collaboration, performance, and accountability across all your teams,

• Ability to articulate and communicate technical challenges to senior stakeholders, contribute to the roadmap, both for your teams and for the whole engineering department.
