In your role as PR manager, you’ll be part of the local BlaBlaCar-Team in Germany. Your desk and a variety of exciting tasks await you in an office directly in the center of Berlin. Occasional travels and the constant exchange with colleagues around the world give your daily work life an international touch.
Our mission is to turn every car into a BlaBlaCar by creating the ridesharing reflex in people’s mind, positioning BlaBlaCar as the most fun and serious service and having our members become evangelists of BlaBlaCar on social networks and in real life. As such, the role requires a sharp, creative, dynamic and rigorous mind.
What you will directly contribute to
Establishing BlaBlaCar in the public as innovative and sustainable way of travelling, that co-creates the future of mobility
Planning, building and managing local PR projects in coordination with global communications
Representing BlaBlaCar as external spokesperson (press inquiries and speaking engagements at conferences/panel discussions/symposiums)
Maintaining contacts to journalists and public stakeholders
Creating a positive buzz around BlaBlaCar and BlaBlaBus in the media
Building & implementing a roadmap for PR operations in Germany
Providing research and written content for pitches
Tracking and measuring success of communication campaigns, including the amount and quality of press coverage
Working with general management to prepare for conferences and/or media interviews
Planning and executing events in the region (e.g. press launches)
What you will need to be successful
2 - 3 years of experience in a PR position
Native level in German and fluent in English
Thorough knowledge of the German media landscape
Unwavering verbal communications skills in any situation
Excellent spelling and writing facility
High sense of organization and method, big energy, efficiency, creativity, proactivity and ingenuity in any circumstance
Ability to work with international teams
Ability to work autonomously with tight deadlines
