Qualifications

What you should bring (ideally):

  • Strong experience with Python, ideally in an agile environment
  • Practical experience with different APIs, based on REST and/or data streams
  • Hands one experience in microservice architecture
  • Good understanding of Docker, AWS or similar cloud infrastructures and interest in Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Java is big plus and you are also open to learn other technologies
  • You are a real team player, who takes ownership of everything you do
  • Independence, dedication and ability to deliver production ready and clean code
  • Fluency in English (German is not required)

    Our Head of Data says: “Data is one of the hubs between Online Marketing, Product, IT and Sales here at Bonial.com. New questions are raised every day that cover all facets of business intelligence, such as developing a prediction model for user retention, defining KPIs and events for an A/B test, integrating a new data source in our enterprise data architecture or supporting critical business decisions by translating business problems into quantitative terms.”

Therefore, our role is to transform the decision-making process from gut feeling to a scientific approach. We support all departments to help them deliver the most values. As part of the data team, you can influence projects with the results of your analysis.     As our (Senior) Data Analyst, you will join our data team and report to the team lead. You will work on end-to-end aspect of data analysis: from gathering, cleaning and aggregating data up to creating, evaluating, visualizing and automating reports. You will also maintain and modify them based on changing business requirements. Your stakeholders are Online Marketing, Sales and Product, and many more.

  • Perform deep-dives on data, give meaning to data, investigate business questions with timely and insightful analysis, identify opportunities and issues, draw actionable insights from raw data and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop metrics/KPIs, reports, dashboards to enable departments to make business-critical decisions based on data.
  • Filter, organize and clean large datasets prior to analysis.
  • Gather know-how on tools and best practices on data world.

  • Qualifications

    You hold a degree in business, economics, mathematics, statistics or equivalent (technical) field and you are a data enthusiast, you have a ‘can-do’ attitude with a passion for analytics and data and bring with you years of hands-on experience.

  • A strong ability to understand and incorporate the big picture into the details of the analysis.
  • Well structured, analytical thinking and ability to explain and visualize complex analysis in a clear understandable manner to a non-technical audience.
  • Having an entrepreneurial mindset: clear understanding of the key business process, reporting and analytics so you are keen on making recommendations that will positively impact Bonial.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in the data field.
  • The ability to understand & write complex SQL statements and preferably a programming language, e.g. Python, R, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc., is a plus
  • Having experience with big data tools is a plus.
  • Experience with online advertising and/or digital analytics is a plus.
  • You can communicate fluently in English with all other languages being very much a bonus.

    Then we are just the team for you! The Relish Team at Bonial is in charge of all integrations of backend systems from content creation right through to delivery via APIs. We are looking for a Backend Engineer in the API team to work with the teams dedicated to client traffic, APIs, search and recommendation engines.

    As a Backend Engineer in our team, you’re ensuring our components keep on talking to each other, which means in particular:

  • Playing an active role in the development of high-traffic, real-time, delivering geo-located content to online applications and surrounding ecosystems
  • Being an active driver of refactoring and scaling
  • Checking API’s compatibilities and unifying them
  • Gaining experience programming in Java 11, Python, Kotlin, and Groovy
  • Exploring technologies like Springboot, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Redis, AWS and Terraform
  • Building a system in the spirit of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Working on our content delivery system, the search engine and the maintenance of them

  • Qualifications

    What you should bring (ideally):

  • A passion for Backend development, that goes without saying
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems and/or equivalent work experience

    As a Senior Product Owner in On-Platform Monetization area, you will be responsible for the monetization of our audience on the kaufDA, MeinProspekt and Bonial (France) platforms. You will be reporting directly to Product Area Lead.

  • Own the entire product life cycle, from opportunity assessment to packaging, training documentation for sellers and product catalog update;
  • Develop a product vision through collaboration with the rest of the team and main stakeholders (Sales & Marketing);
  • Prioritize the development of POCs, minimum sellable product, iterations or retirement;
  • Provide vision, context and direction of prioritized product iterations to the development team and negotiate specifications to maximize market readiness;
  • Monitor and share key results regularly;

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, experience in B2B is a big plus;
