Job Description

About the team:Team Sierra is responsible for one of the crucial systems in the Business Platforms stream: the Order Management System. We are a distributed team between Berlin and Kiev and we are responsible for laying down the foundation of an end-to-end system that allows full handling of the Bonial’s new products. We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join us and work together on the dedicated APIs, backend stack and process engine.

As an Engineer in our Backend team, you’re ensuring our components are developed at the highest standards by:

• Taking active part in the development, scaling, refactoring and monitoring the backend microservices of the Order Management ecosystem
• You constantly gain experience in programming Java8
• Actively applying technologies as Spring, Hibernate/JPA, PostgreSQL, Rest API, AWS, Camunda and Docker
• Building a system in the spirit of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners and architects to define, design and deliver new features

Qualifications

What you will need:

• 2+ years of practical Java8 experience
• Experience with Rest API, Postgres, Hibernate and Spring as well
• Experience working in an agile software development team
• The ability to work independently, responsibly, accurately and reliably
• Real team player skills, but you are ambitious at the same time
• The ability to stay calm under stress, assess risks and make decisions
• Good communication skills and know how to express your ideas in English
