Job Description

Our team lead says: Data is one of the hubs between Online Marketing, Product, IT and Sales here at Bonial.com. New questions are raised every day that require good data sources and deep data processing to support critical business decisions and provide answers to different problems. Data collection enables us to create strong strategies, stay on top of trends, build better relationships with customers and users, and analyze new insights to great effect. 

As our new Data Engineer, you will work with Big Data technologies like Spark, Kinesis, No-SQL database, etc. You influence the architecture of our platform and create the future of data-driven solutions at Bonial.com. Furthermore, you will:  

• Implement different Spark-jobs to guarantee executable routines 
• Develop and enhance our dashboard applications and data crunching algorithms 
• Maintain our data processing pipelines and improve their scalability 
• Build a platform for data scientists and data analysts to get data, run their queries and analyze data 
• Help data scientists on data modelling, performance and scalability problems

Qualifications

You have had great experience with Python and at least one object-oriented language like Java or Scala. Additionally, you have a deep understanding of distributed applications and know how to optimize distributed jobs. 

Furthermore, you have: 

• At least two years of experience working with Big Data technologies as Apache Spark, HDFS 
• The ability to understand & write complex SQL statements  
• Bring passion, experience and problem-solving abilities to the team 
• Experience with data visualization 
• Ideally have experience with AWS products stack (EMR, Redshift, Dynamo DB, Lambdas, Kinesis) and how to operate them
