When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do
- Architect, design, implement, and maintain complex software designs, focused on data gathering, control systems, and user-facing algorithms
- Write clean, understandable, robust, and sustainable code
- Collaborate with backend SW, mobile apps, hardware, UX, and product management teams to determine optimal technical solutions for product-specific and cross-product algorithms rooted in sleep science
- Negotiate, specify, and document communication protocols, system states, and firmware/software feature requirements with the software team
- Create and write cases to exercise and validate SW/FW algorithms
- Collaborate with engineering team to develop product strategy recommendations and roadmap
- Work in our San Francisco location, travel to New York City headquarters required
Our dream candidate is...
- BS/MS in CS, CE, EE, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years Firmware / Embedded software development experience
- A strong software development discipline, including modularization and test methods
- Expertise in software development, tools, and debug
- Substantial experience programming in C/C++; familiarity with Matlab or Python.
- Hands on experience in prototype bring-up, debugging, functional verification and manufacturing support
- Organized self starter. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Track record of shipping products in a cross-functional engineering environment
