Casper is seeking a senior marketing manager to join the Growth Marketing team. The team is a fast-moving and performance-driven squad of marketers focused on driving the business through the customer lifecycle: acquisition of new customers, increasing conversion, and driving engagement and repeat business.  We work closely with the the rest of Marketing, Analytics, Product and Tech teams to marry Casper's values of a strong brand identity with analytical direct-response marketing. We are constantly testing new things as we look for ways to grow the Casper business.


The Senior Manager, Conversion Optimization will be responsible for all things conversion -related, with a particular focus on driving increased business performance from our owned web properties (web site and landing pages) via conversion rate optimization, as well as our promotional strategy on our properties.  This person should be fiercely interested in performance marketing, analytically minded, a fast learner, good question-asker, creative thinker and smart time-manager. 


Casper (casper.com) is a global sleep company that launched in 2014 with an obsessively engineered, outrageously comfortable mattress sold directly to consumers. Its critically acclaimed sleep surface was developed in-house, has a sleek design, and is delivered in a small, "how did they do that?"-sized box. When you’re not catching zzz’s, this is what you’ll do
  • Understand our prospects’ journeys and our conversion funnel on our web site quantitatively (through web analytics) and qualitatively (through user research and insights), informing our approach to driving conversion and average order value.
  • Lead AB and Multivariate testing and conversion rate optimization strategy to continually improve web conversion rates, average order value, and customer experience for Casper.  
  • Partner with the Analytics and Digital Product team on test roadmapping and prioritization, identifying insights from tests and iteration opportunities, and cascading insights to the rest of the organization
  • Partner with the Acquisition media team to enhance our landing page capabilities and develop, test, and launch leading site experiences to connect to media strategies
  • Partner with our customer marketing team to drive increased CLTV through site enhancements
  • Lead Growth Marketing’s promotional strategies, in concert with acquisition marketing, analytics and finance, in order to drive our business to meet/exceed goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry and technology trends which may be headwinds or tailwinds to our site and landing page conversion rates
Our dream candidate is...
  • 5-7 years digital marketing or eCommerce experience, with a keen understanding of the interaction points between media and owned properties
  • A proven track record of hypothesis-driven testing, resulting in increases in conversion rates and improved user experience from their work, with a deep set of creative and copy best practices at their fingertips
  • Proficiency in key web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics), web testing platforms (e.g. Optimizely, Adobe Target), and robust test design process
  • A clear understanding of eCommerce P&Ls,  how promotions can drive an eCommerce business and a proven ability to leverage promotions to drive conversion, revenue and margin dollar growth
  • Proficiency in excel and data analysis, with statistics experience a plus
  • Ability to effectively manage work across organizational boundaries to get things done in a collaborative, fast paced environment
  • A positive attitude while being hyper-organized and comfortable multi-tasking
  • An exceptionally effective approach to written and verbal communication
  • A quantitative, curious intuition coupled with a creative, critical eye
  • UX, copywriting, and design experience as a plus
