Your Role:

As Engineering Manager (m/f/d) at Coya, you will lead one of our awesome tech squads and support the team to develop, grow and improve on best practices, maintain focus and build a great product. 

Your Role:

  • Develop people from your squad through coaching, mentoring and feedback

  • Help align engineers in your squad and give guidance towards achieving goals and maintaining focus

  • Help develop and evangelize great engineering practices in the team

  • Facilitate collaboration, communication and decision-making between different engineering squads and business stakeholders/PMs

  • Support the VP Engineering in tech strategy, process definition and other possible topics when it is required

  • Work with our recruiting team to attract, onboard and retain diverse top talent


Your Profile:

  • Min. 2+ years experience in mentoring and direct people management in technical teams

  • 5+ years of software development experience 

  • Proficient in one backend and/or frontend technology and best practices to be able to understand and challenge your team in technical discussions

  • Able to manage multiple stakeholders successfully

  • Passionate about business results and people not just technical excellence

  • Customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have:
  • Experience developing projects in a microservice architecture

  • Prior experience in startup environments

  • Experience with various technologies
