Context


We are currently investing in the renovation of the UI and UX layer of our website and other web-based applications, together with the re-development of the underlying software layers. The aim of the program is the creation of a new mobile responsive website, using the best design patterns and practices, latest CSS and HTML5 features, with React as its main JS framework.


Job description


The Front-end web developer will join the team of front-end/full-stack developers and will work under the supervision of the IT Manager and the CTO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the user interfaces and the front-end application layer of the DayBreakHotels.com web site. The goal is the development of fully responsive, cutting-edge SEO optimized web applications; among other tasks the Front-end web architect/developer will:


  • Analyze the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs. 
  • Build reusable code and libraries. 
  • Develop UI sections of the new fully responsive DayBreakHotels web site. 
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 
  • Develop the user layer’s logic and validation procedures. 
  • Collaborate with other team members.

Skills required


  • At least 4 years of working experience (essential). 
  • Experience with business analysis and design of technical architectures (essential). 
  • Advanced knowledge of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, AJAX to communicate with REST API (essential). 
  • Knowledge of REST Web API (essential). 
  • Knowledge of relational databases, entity relationship analysis, T/SQL (beneficial). 
  • JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, HTML5 (essential). 
  • CSS3 and responsive design (essential). 
  • Advanced knowledge of React (essential), Redux (very useful), webpack (essential) and Node.Js (beneficial). 
  • Experience with Linux/MacOSx and its command-line. 
  • Knowledge of front-end scripting’s best practices, SEO, UX, JSON. 
  • Knowledge of version control systems: GITTerms of Employment
Employment terms
