We’re looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our Tech Dept.
He/she will work in the web development team implementing new features and optimising all of DoveConviene - ShopFully’s web properties, used every day by millions of people around the world to discover offers.
The position is full-time and based in our Bologna headquarters, located in the city centre.
Main responsibilities:
Develop new features and evolve ShopFully International Group websites
Work on desktop and mobile optimisations
Maintain unit tests
Perform code reviews
Maintain the newsletter subsystem and web analytics integrations
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Familiarity with the whole web stack, including protocols and performance optimization techniques
Experience developing using a PHP framework (CakePHP, Symfony, Laravel, etc.)
Experience using caching systems (Redis) to improve application performance
Familiar with modern web development technologies and techniques, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Responsive Design, web services, web workers, etc.
Experience developing AJAX interfaces with modern libraries, frameworks and tools (e.g. ReactJS, JQuery, AngularJS, Backbone, Underscore, RequireJS, Bower, Grunt, etc.)
Experience developing using both relational and non-relational database engines (MySQL, MongoDB)
Basic knowledge of testing tools, both for backend (PHPUnit) and for frontend (Jasmine, QUnit)
