Description

At EDITED, you'll be part of our Product and Data team, working closely with other software developers and data scientists, retail specialists and designers to create data-driven solutions to our customers' problems. We've got huge scope to innovate and we always welcome fresh perspectives. You'll be able to make a big impact, and learn a huge amount during your time at EDITED.

We bring in the best candidates to meet our existing team and get to know them before making a hiring decision together.

Good data is the cornerstone of our business. With near realtime data for over 90m fashion products, we need people like you to help us maintain and expand our most valued resource.

The role is on our data team which sits within our product and engineering department. You’ll work with our Data Manager to play an important part in maintaining the quality of new and existing EDITED retail data from some of the biggest retailers, within the biggest database in our sector. It requires a keen eye for detail, an understanding of fashion concepts and a whole lot of organisation - but you’ll love that!

It’s an opportunity to learn from the ground up about a growing application which is changing the face of retail. You’ll be able to develop upon your administrative and retail experience within a new arena. You’ll get to work within a great data team with a variety of backgrounds - we’ll make you cups of tea, feed you snacks and analyse the patterns on your clothing!

If you are into fashion or retail and are interested in applying that knowledge in a novel way - get in touch.

You’ll be:

  • Regularly performing data remediation and validation tasks in order to give our customers the best possible data quality - communicating ideas to the Data Manager.
  • Working on investigating and resolving data related queries on a daily basis, within a short time frame.
  • Spending the majority of your time working independently but this will be interjected with close work with a variety of EDITED team members - from developers to customer success.
  • Getting to grips with a variety of internal and external tools and data frameworks - we want you to enjoy the challenge of learning new things.
  • Using your fashion/retail knowledge to understand the data from the customer perspective. Applying this more thoroughly if project work arises which requires collection and attribution of apparel data.
  • Updating any internal information and guides to ensure the EDITED team is aware of our data processes and policies.
  • Working with retailer websites every day - getting to know them inside out!
  • Building out some of our data sources - performing retail research to do this.

You are:

  • Interested in learning new skills in a niche field - from the experts!
  • It's a role where any prior knowledge of working with large volumes of data or data QA would be a bonus - but is not necessary. We're not looking for you to be the fully formed product, we'll teach you the skills needed to enable you to grow into the role.
  • Interested in clothes/shopping/retail or all three - you’d happily spend hours browsing retail websites.
  • The data never stops developing so you’ll be hyper organised, super detail oriented and ready to tackle any challenge that may come your way.
  • Curious - we want people who can independently investigate queries.
  • A thorough documenter - if it’s happened, you’ve logged it!
  • Comfortable communicating in person and through online channels. Your main point of contact will be the Data Manager but you could also be discussing points with colleagues in engineering or customer facing roles.
