Description

You will be part of the leadership team that develops and grows FlixBus' second service offering: Renting buses to customers that need to transport more than 20 passengers. For these customers, we add value by making organization easier, by increasing availability and by decreasing prices (through higher efficiency).
This positions long-term goals are to enhance customer prices to improve conversion while increasing margin. You will achieve these goals step-by-step by developing, testing and improving automated algorithms and tools with your pricing team.
The analytics-focused part your team provides the backbone for data-driven decision-making (data quality, regular reports, ad-hoc analyses, alerts, etc.) as well as forecasts to optimize the allocation of supply and internal resources.
You and your team will be supported by colleagues of the IT department as well as the sourcing and operations department. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field of study like statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, business administration or similar.
Experience in automated pricing; experience with route optimization and / or optimization frameworks is a plus.
Leadership experience and enthusiasm to coach and develop your international team members.
Interest in building and optimizing new tools and methods, excitement when it comes to data and algorithms, ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical mindset, ability to think big and prioritize, independent work style.
Skilled in MS Excel, SQL, a programming language (e.g. Python or Java), statistical computing.
Fluent in English; German, French, Italian, Dutch or other European languages are a plus.
