- Mastery: You are responsible for the individual mastery and enable your people to grow and foster their mastery and career. You identify improvement areas in their functional, non-functional or soft skills by supporting them in their professional development.
- Leadership: You are a servant leader of a team of approximately 15-20 software developers and responsible for empowering your people. You are an experienced leader understanding the concepts of lateral and disciplinary leadership and their relation to being a coach and servant leader at the same time.
- Care: You care for the individuals in the Digital Product Development at FlixBus as well as for the setup of the teams to perform the best.
- Contact: Stay in touch with your people, acknowledging and learning about the interaction with the teams and their individual behaviour.
- Participation: Participate as an observer in daily stand-ups, reviews and tribe ceremonies from the people you are responsible for.
- Oversight: Proactively meet with Agile Coaches, Product Owners and other roles your team is interacting with.
- Alignment: Aligns individual and team purpose with FlixBus goals and establish the OKR and related processes, especially the FlixBus feedback process.
- Impediments: Remove organizationally owned responsibilities, such as ensuring that all people related tools and processes are state of the art or ensuring that e.g. the room situation is optimal or making sure needed equipment needed is available.
- Hiring and Controlling: Collaborate with HR and Controlling with budgeting and controlling as well as ensuring the recruiting process is optimal, including onboarding, personnel development, and performance management.
- Labor Law: You own the disciplinary power for your people and serve as an escalation point, e.g. for the Product Owner, Agile Coaches and anyone else who needs support. - You have 3-5 years of experience in managing teams and individuals.
You are skilled with people management and conflict resolution, and have ideally achieved mastery in a certain area of scrum software development (i.e. People Manager, Software Developer, Agile Coach, or Product Owner).
- You enjoy supporting people and find satisfaction if you help teams and individuals becoming successful.
- You feel responsibility for the organisation, process and people in the organisation and understand that the value of the people.
- You are a team player, full of empathy and intuition, properties you self-evidently call your own.
-You have worked in a digital product development organisation before, with any of the common agile methodologies and understand the complexity of this endeavour.
- Ability to understand what is happening in a cross functional team and the team dynamics (such as dysfunctions of a team).
- Knowledge and understanding of labour law aspects of disciplinary leadership is useful.
- Excellent in English skills, German welcomed
