Description

provide legal advice and support to the Funding Circle Capital Markets team focusing on loan financing, structured finance/securitisation and funds.

• Advice on design, negotiation, drafting and execution of capital markets transactions, focusing on loan financing, structured finance/securitisation and public and private direct lending funds
• Instruction and management of outside counsel as needed and collaboration with other members of Funding Circle global legal team
• General support driving strategic initiatives, including the deployment of products, policies and solutions developed in the Global Capital Markets team based in London but also working with offices in Berlin and San Francisco

You’ve been there and done this…

• 3 - 5 years post qualification legal experience in finance, capital markets or funds (or equivalent)
• Expertise in complex structured finance transactions or fund establishment and maintenance, including review or drafting of all related documentation
• Good knowledge of regulatory issues relating to financing, securitisation or direct lending fund activities, including AIFMD, MIFID, STS, risk retention, disclosure
• Ability to think commercially in relation to legal issues and provide solutions
• Good strategic thinker – ability to contribute to the strategic development of the Capital Markets business and the wider Funding Circle business
• Strong interpersonal skills – ability to build consensus in a matrixed environment
• Proven ability building trusting working relationships while maintaining independence
