Description

We are looking for a Reconciliation Analyst to join the Financial Operations team at Funding Circle US. This position is based in Denver and reports to the Financial Operation Manager. The key purpose of this role is to carry out daily reconciliations across Client Money bank accounts, delivering the assurance that our client money is kept safe.  The role will involve the individual working closely with many teams across the business, including Finance, Loan Closing, Collection & Service, Payment Operations and Capital Markets Operations.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carry out daily reconciliations of client money bank accounts and marketplace ledgers
  • Liaising with payment operations and various teams across the business to investigate transactions within client accounts and ledgers
  • Collaborating with the Financial Operations colleague and other teams to identify new processes as well as improvements to current processes.
  • Identify deficiency and risks in operations
  • Be responsible for scoping and troubleshooting ad-hoc operational issues as they occur
  • Work closely with product and technology to identify features and contribute to the development of the marketplace platforms, reports and systems.
  • Liaising with product and tech teams on any system changes
  • Ad-hoc project work

 

Our ideal teammate has:

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other quantitative discipline
  • 2-4 years of work experiences with 1-3 year of experience in reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail and determination with a high level of accuracy
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent numerical skills and enjoys working with data
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information
  • A team-player who is proactive and always with a sense of urgency and can take responsibility and work with a high level of autonomy
  • Intermediate to advance Excel skills
  • Experience in Finance or accounting is a plus

  • Fintech, lending or other financial operations and services experience
  • Experience with servicing and collections tools, industry standard practices
