Junior Financial Operations Reconciliations Analyst

We are looking for a new team member to join the Financial Operations team at Funding Circle US as a Junior Financial Operations Reconciliations Analyst. This position is based in San Francisco and reports to the Head of US Financial Operations. The key purpose of this role is to carry out daily reconciliations across Client Money bank accounts, delivering the assurance that our client money is kept safe.  The role will involve the individual working closely with many teams across the business, including Finance, Payment Operations, Capital Markets Operations and Loan Servicing. 

Key responsibilities include:

• Carry out daily reconciliations of client money bank accounts
• Liaising with payment operations and various teams across the business to investigate transactions within client accounts
• Collaborating with the Financial Operations Reconciliations Analyst to identify new processes as well as improvements to current processes and liaising with product and tech teams on any system changes
• Ad-hoc project work

Our ideal teammate has:

• BS/BA degree BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other quantitative discipline
• 1-3 year of experience in reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and determination with a high level of accuracy
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly
• Excellent numerical skills and enjoys working with data
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Honesty and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• A team-player, who can also take responsibility and work with a high level of autonomy
• Experience in Finance is a plus

• Fintech, lending or other financial services experience
• Experience with servicing and collections tools, industry standard practices
• Technical aptitude and/or experience developing systems and processes
• VBA in excel
