Our Partnerships Team is seeking a hard-working, and motivated Loan assistant to work with our partner network to drive the lending application process. Each member of this team is passionate about small businesses, entrepreneurship, and building a better financial world. This is an external facing position that carries the responsibility of handling small business financing applications submitted by our referral and strategic partners.

As Loan assistant you will...

• Communicate with Partners and Small Business Owners: Speak with partners by phone and email to drive applications through our internal funnel
• Assist with Application Process: Correspond with partners and occasionally small business applicants to help them through the application process towards a Funding Circle loan; serve as an authority on documentation requirements and reasoning
• Build relationships: Utilize and develop your relationship building skills by serving as the primary point of contact for referral partner application submissions
• Collaborate: Work closely with your Relationship Managers and our Credit Team to understand the intricacies of each application and the ultimate decision

You’ve been there and done this…

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s degree with a consistent track record of performance preferred
• Strong interest in financial technology sector and the growing online lending space
• Attention to detail
• Outgoing, high-energy, and enjoy communicating with others
• Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced, team focused, start-up environment
• Basic understanding of small business financial documents, and/or experience with small business products/services, commercial lending, or technology
• Excitement to get in on the ground floor of one of the most exciting and fastest growing industries around
