Our Sales Development Representative will exhibit a passion for helping small business owners achieve their goals. This role will implement exceptional customer service and develop sales acumen to expand Funding Circle's mission to Build a Better Financial World by serving more customers than ever through partnership referrals. This role is the perfect place to start your sales career.

A little more about this position...

Funding Circle Marketplace is Funding Circle's burgeoning referral program, monetizing the portion of applicants that do not meet Funding Circle’s credit requirements for direct lending - giving us the ability to serve more small businesses and improve our own unit economics. We are looking for an employee who will engage Funding Circle applicants and work to match them with the best possible lender in our network.

Funding Circle Marketplace is a new, high-growth line of business within the broader organization. As such, we are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit who will take initiative beyond their day-to-day responsibilities, who brings new insights to the table, and who thrives in a fast-paced startup-style work environment.

Responsibilities of a Funding Circle Marketplace SDR entail…

  • Calling applicants eligible for the Funding Circle Marketplace to discuss opportunities through referral program
  • Entering key customer data
  • Documenting innovative practices and build processes as the program scales
  • Working cross-functionally with marketing, direct sales and partnerships teams to optimize processes and boost program revenues
The ideal candidate displays:
  • Bachelors degree
  • 0-1 years experience - this is a great entry level role into our sales team.
  • Motivated by success in numbers, and driven to achieve your targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding time management skills and proficiency at multitasking
  • Self-motivated with the ability to ‘think smart’ and adapt quickly
