Head of Country UK (m/f/d)

Description

• Set the vision for the UK market and work closely with global C- & VP level team members to align on the overall UK business targets
• Provide ongoing review and development of the overall country strategy to ensure we hit our UK growth ambitions; an aptitude for numbers is a must. 
• Beyond growth, you also ensure we reach other important milestones (teambuilding, business development, etc.) and successfully complete strategic projects within established timelines
• Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
• Set the product roadmap to ensure the product matches market demands and conversion is on or above market average
• Develop and leverage a business network that enables efficient partnerships
• Grow, lead and manage the UK Team (in areas like Marketing, HR, Customer Service, Insurance product and business development) to hit key metrics. Coach these teams toward maximum performance
• Work closely with global head office teams to ensure optimal resource allocation
• You follow developments in the UK insurance/Fintech markets closely and evaluate impacts for our UK strategy
• Be a vocal advocate for the Getsafe experience, App, and brand. Act as a legal and compliance representative for Getsafe in the UK

• Minimum of 7+ Years’ experience in a growth oriented role in a high-paced environment - ideally in a start-up or tech firm - and work focusing on digital marketing, product, strategy and analytics
• Strong track record of hitting targets and exceeding business expectations. In a best case scenario, you have led a business in a similar stage before, with a proven growth track and ability to build, lead, and motivate a team
• Strong management and negotiation skills; broad knowledge of local laws and regulations
• Flexible to travel when necessary (this role is based in London but post-COVID, frequent travel to Germany - likely 1-2 trips per month on average - will be required)
• Ideally, you also have an understanding of technological trends and UI/ UX design for optimizing user experience
• As a direct report to executive management, you work entirely on own initiative, achieve extremely ambitious growth targets, and scale up an entire organization and team quickly
