GetYourGuide.com offers the world’s largest and most exciting selection of activities for travellers to book: From a backstreet walking tour of Paris, to a cooking class in Bali, or even a canal cruise in Amsterdam! With activities around the world - we make it easy for everyone to cure the chaos of travel, find and book inspiring things to do and make journey planning enjoyable. The hardest part? Figuring out where to start!


As part of our major growth plan, we have decided to open an office in Amsterdam. This means we are searching for a leader to manage our Benelux region out of our new Amsterdam office. You will be expected to drive the performance of all major destinations in the region, act as an entrepreneur and be responsible for the acquisition of key attractions and activity partners in the region. You will also act as an evangelist for the GetYourGuide brand, be responsible for building strong business relationships, and creating strategic supply advantages for GetYourGuide with your small destination manager team.  


Your Responsibilities:


  • Drive the commercial growth of the region by building new relationships and improving existing connections with key attractions, experiences and tour activity partners
  • Launch new cities and destinations against an ambitious launch timeline
  • Exceed sales and revenue targets by effectively managing quarterly sales goals
  • Establish and maintain key client relationships and implement strategies for expanding the company’s supplier base
  • Ensure accurate sales reporting, metric analysis, sales recognition, and other ad-hoc sales operations support activities
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a small team of Destination Managers
  • Manage the performance and motivation of your direct reports
  • Build and nurture a positive team culture, focusing on GetYourGuide’s core values and acting as a role model for the company culture
  • Think outside the box, come up with new market opportunities to drive change and value for our travellers

Your Profile:


  • 3+ years experience in sales or account management, including leadership roles
  • Energy & ability to travel regularly throughout Benelux and occasionally to the Berlin HQ.
  • Strong operational leader with demonstrated success in driving growth, tangible results, and KPI improvements within the region
  • Strong willingness to win despite all challenges
  • Track record of recruiting and developing A-players
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
  • Data-driven, results-oriented, and accurate
  • Strong win-win mentality and ability to build relationships
  • Deep understanding of online marketplace dynamics
  • Can work autonomously
  • Native level Dutch + fluent English
  • Travel industry experience is a plus
  • Personal network in tourism is a plus
