Data Scientist (m/f/d) – Pricing & Commercial Steering

Home & Living is a complex market with unique challenges along the global value chain, which we are solving with scalable, technology-driven solutions and vast amounts of data.

As part of this effort, we have set up a cross-functional pricing team that has built and continues to develop a pricing software and works to implement our pricing strategy. To reinforce this team, we are looking for a high-caliber data scientist with strong business acumen.

Your Responsibilities

• Together with our Commercial leadership team, you own and shape the vision for pricing at home24
• You design and optimize pricing rules that are executed in our pricing software
• You provide accurate and insightful statistical analyses and explain your findings
• You give close sparring to our developers for the specification and testing of new features in our pricing software
• You align with other teams to coordinate steering decisions with cross-functional impact
• You develop machine learning models and integrate them into production systems
• You define and monitor relevant KPIs to monitor the performance of your algorithms

Your Profile

• You possess an academic degree in a quantitative field such as economics, statistics, computer science or a related area
• 2-4 years of relevant work experience
• First experience in advanced statistical methods such as logistic regression, random forests, support vector machines
• Strong business sense and good understanding of market & pricing dynamics
• Flexibility to switch between data science, data analytics, tool development, business logic and strategy topics as needed to drive the project forward
• Proficiency in SQL and an analytical programming language such as Python
• You think fast, work proactively and always keep on top of things even in a fast-paced environment
