Position Overview
As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will work on all parts of our web application, its libraries, widgets and custom features.  You will work across the entire web stack, working with MySQL, Lucene/Solr, Redis, and React and leveraging a strong understanding of OOP as well as Javascript and CSS. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, independent and has experience owning complete features and products with a desire to build an engaging consumer experience.

  • Taking high level ideas and transforming them into live products, used by millions of homeowners and professionals from around the world
  • Building features for all parts of our web application, its libraries, widgets and custom features
  • Working cross-functionally across engineering, product, and design teams
  • Required Skills and Experience
  • Self-directed, independent and experienced in owning complete features/products
  • Proficiency in web stack programming, from schema design to building user-facing interfaces
  • Comfortable working on fast paced, data-driven projects
  • A desire to build an engaging consumer experience
  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience developing consumer facing features for millions of consumers
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases and Lucene/Solr a plus
  • 3+ years experience
