Our Head of Supply Chain Makes Things Happen
Join us in building a best-in-class supply chain. Houzz is looking for a passionate leader with a track record of success in supply chain management. The ideal candidate is collaborative, has experience building and hiring a team, and is a proactive self starter who works quickly and efficiently.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the strategy and execution of Houzz’s Supply Chain network in order to drive end-to-end supply chain efficiency, build scale, improve performance, and deliver an optimal customer experience
  • Oversee transportation (including US Logistics operations and International Freight Forwarding ops), purchasing, inbound delivery, vendor operations, drop-ship, warehouse operations, reverse logistics, and product quality in a home furnishings e-commerce environment
  • Lead execution of daily processes with attention to detail – purchase inventory, troubleshoot problem items, and track orders to 100% accuracy
  • Build, hire and mentor a team of supply chain managers and associates (Demand, Supply, Vendor Compliance, Operations, Transportation)
  • Develop long term strategy for fulfillment operations
  • Partner with IT/Engineering to develop/enhance systems to help achieve strong Supply Chain processes and automate manual processes
  • Work closely with business leaders across the organization to improve processes and maximize effectiveness
  • Develops and executes on key KPIs for multiple categories with few complexities
  • Collaborates with key vendors to drive improvements on key metrics
  • Must optimize service levels and capacity planning
  • Execute plans and actions to support the company’s financial targets and objectives
  • Translate business requirements into supply chain and related technology roadmap
  • Drive continuous improvement culture with structured prioritization aligned with business strategies
  • Evaluate current and potential business partners and ensure partner alignment / support of strategic initiatives
  • At a Minimum, We’d Like You To Have…
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or related field; MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of leadership responsibilities in the supply chain process
  • Track-record of effectively managing teams to complete multiple, time-sensitive projects and competing priorities with minimum guidance
  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain processes, including shared services, with the ability to translate into actionable strategy and business initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ideally, You’ll Also Have…
  • Experience working in eCommerce supply chain
  • Ability to work collaboratively to create results driven, team-oriented environment
  • Must be able to work in an ambiguous startup eCommerce environment
  • Strategic thinker with an open mind to learn and explore new areas and opportunities
  • Proven ability to drive contract negotiations across multiple types of service providers: transportation, professional services, technology, merchandise
  • Demonstrated aptitude for analyzing opportunities and devising and implementing new processes and supporting systems
