About the Role
Our global Sales and Marketing Operations team is powered by an amazing group of talented individuals who are committed to driving the growth and expansion of our sales organization. We are looking for a Marketing Events and Trade Show Manager to define, expand, and manage our ongoing strategy of promoting the world-class Houzz brand at key events to attract and educate home design professionals on our comprehensive suite of products and services. As the Marketing Events and Trade Show Manager, you will partner with sales, marketing, and brand leadership at various levels of the organization to identify, coordinate, and execute on our annual marketing events roadmap. You will transform concepts and ideas to best elevate Houzz’s presence while maintaining a positive return on investment. We are looking for someone who is self-directed, independent, and has experience owning and executing on complete projects.
What You'll Do
  • Manage strategic communications, researching, planning, and execution for trade shows and corporate events, including support of pre- and post-trade show marketing and communications
  • Support sales leadership in defining attendance, booth traffic, and onsite management strategy
  • Manage accurate budgeting and planning reports for external events, including lead delivery and conversion
  • Facilitate all trade show planning meetings and provide strategic oversight for each trade show
  • Manage all event logistics including venue selection, space configuration, booth production, production schedule, invitations, overhead and floor signage, agenda, catering, A/V, speaker slides and materials, and marketing materials
  • Create and maintain event planning project plan, documents, and presentations
  • Coordinate and act as primary interface with all vendors such as trade show booth design companies, printers, hotels, caterers, A/V vendors, and shipping POCs
  • Up to 60% travel
  • At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or Hospitality
  • 3+ years experience in the development of trade show strategy, planning and logistics
  • Demonstrated management of detailed fiscal budgets for trade shows and corporate events
  • Strong understanding of technical material
  • Superior writing, editing and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High-level organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
  • Ideally, You'll Also Have
  • Prior experience in corporate brand management, as well as collaborating with an in-house creative team for design of event materials and signage
  • Experience working with global brands and enterprise sales teams
  • Experience with G Suite and Adobe Suite
