About the Role
As part of the People Services (HR) Team, you will help to create a professional, positive, warm and welcoming office environment for Houzz employees that is in line with our culture and values. Not only does the People Experience team support employees in each office, but it also manages overall employee engagement and large scale projects such as internal events, employee awards and wellness/perk programs. People Experience also manages external vendors (i.e. food, office services and rentals) that are essential in supporting the company’s needs.
What You'll Do
  • Plan, facilitate, communicate and execute all company events (across multiple locations), including monthly socials, company meetings, off- sites retreats, etc.; manage budget and resources
  • Survey Houzz employees to ensure an optimal employee experience, identify new initiatives to enhance employee experience at Houzz, and escalate issues to Facilities and/or People Services as needed for resolution
  • Execute community programs by providing employees with opportunities to engage in various ways within the local community, creating a culture of giving back. Partner with the Branding and Communications team to align local programs with the company’s CSR strategy
  • Drive employee wellness and perks through various campaigns, initiatives and communications, including driving existing programs such as Healthy at Houzz
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring best pricing and services. Review invoices for accuracy and ensure invoices are submitted for payment, tracking with budget
  • Act as liaison to the Facilities team and IT when planning events requiring use of additional resources and/or locations
  • Partner with Facilities and Recruiting to coordinate large hiring events and act as event liaison
  • Partner closely with the People Services and other Houzz office People Experience teams to create a cohesive experience for Houzz employees, share best practices and collaborate opportunities across locations globally
  • At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have
  • Bachelor’s degree (or commensurate experience)
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, in an employee experience, employee engagement or culture-building role, preferably at a tech company and/or a founder-led organization
  • Strong organizational skills, a detail-oriented mindset and an ability to handle multiple and ever-changing priorities in a fluid startup environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous people management experience is a plus
