About the Role
The People Services team connects business needs with employee needs, and the People Operations Partner is a key strategic member of the People Services Team.  As the People Operations Partner, you will understand, partner and deliver people initiatives that engage and develop the Houzz People Organization. With your expertise in relationship building, people analytics, broad HR practices (with depth of knowledge and experience in HR systems, HR processes, and compliance) you'll be positioned as an organizational leader that helps transform and drive Houzz toward continued levels of success. 
What You’ll Do
As a Talent Development Coordinator, you will be our scheduling, logistics, and data tracking guru. You will work closely with appropriate business partners to ensure our objectives can be scheduled and completed on time. We are looking for someone that has exemplary organization skills, strong attention to detail, outgoing personality and who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
  • Gather benchmark data about jobs, compensation and benefits
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for engaging employees through People Services systems, tools and processes including but not limited to: onboarding, talent acquisition intersects, employee self-service,  benefits administration, change management, performance management, time and attendance, LOA, learning and development, and off boarding
  • Manage a team of People Services generalists who act as an employee’s first level of contact for People Services related matters
  • Partner with HR Business Partner and Sr Talent Partner, in the execution of cross functional initiatives (i.e. company wide performance management, rewards and recognition, focal cycles, policy distribution and accountability and other critical people programs)
  • Ensure the highest level of data management for all HR systems and processes
  • Manage compliance and help mitigate risk relating to employment law in close partnership with General Counsel and Finance
  • In partnership with People Service Business Partner and Talent Acquisition leaders, act as a subject matter expert to help coach and counsel leaders on workforce planning initiatives through active risk management
  • Act as the liaison between Houzz and external employment counsel
  • Exercise professionalism at the highest level of integrity in order to privatize and always protect company and employee information 
  • Provide People Operations support and guidance on special projects such as organizational restructures, acquisitions, and system integrations
  • At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business or a related field
  • A minimum of 8 years’ work experience performing a substantially similar role and at least 3 years of managing a multi-location team of HR professionals
  • Expert in maintaining Workday business processes and internal data
  • Ability to apply broad-based HR knowledge to business needs in a proactive manner and determine best practices to support organizational direction
  • Proven experience with mentoring or training less experienced team members including compliance with HR related legislation, practices, processes, programs and technologies, processes and procedures
  • Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills including fluency in the language of business administration
  • A consistent focus on accountability and achievement of HR strategic and tactical goals with a proven track record in delivering high quality solutions
  • Effective problem solving strategy with proven success in solving difficult problems and mentoring others on effective problem solving
  • Advanced knowledge in the use of data, evidence-based research, benchmarks, HR and business metrics to make critical decisions
  • The ability to assess business situations and recommend suggestions for improving business results and team execution of HR strategies
  • Ability to serve as a leader for demonstrating effective time management, organizational and follow up skills with a keen attention to detail and quality

  • Ideally, You'll Also Have
  • Certified in Workday HRIS Administration 
  • A Master’s degree in one of the fields noted above or another relevant discipline AND a minimum of 6 years experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Experience in staffing, workforce planning, performance management and business operations
  • Knowledge of CA labor law; multi-state and international is a huge bonus
  • Human Resources certification such as Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society of Human Resources - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP)
