About the Role
Join us in building a best-in-class supply chain. The ideal candidate is collaborative, has experience in Logistics, and is a proactive self-starter who works quickly and efficiently.
What You'll Do
  • Manage shipping issues escalated for the freight team’s intervention; resolve all freight shipment exceptions
  • Manage the process for third-party marketplace shipping escalations in conjunction with Customer Support managers
  • Oversee daily transportation operations: drayage, outbound shipping and exceptions
  • Manage process (quote, book, track) for the warehouse stock transfers and the warehouse teams
  • Perform cost-reduction analysis to determine optimal shipping method on orders affected by data discrepancies
  • Partner with Pre-Sales Managers and the Trade team in establishing volume shipping rates and determining the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method
  • Assess all freight shipping trends to provide continuous operational improvement by identifying inefficiencies, enhancing current business processes or developing new processes as needed
  • Collaborate with Logistics-Freight Manager to maintain positive relationships with current LTL and FTL carriers; participate in RFP process and review all contract updates
  • Analyze EDI 214 data, resolve and distribute customer and carrier issues to appropriate teams
  • Determine source of unexpected incremental shipping charges during freight cost audits conducted by Analyst team and provide recommendations
  • Collaborate with the Claims team to develop damage/loss reduction strategies
  • Work with the Vendor Support & Compliance team to resolve first-mile shipping issues
  • Work with the Buying team and Category Managers on shipping issues with top brands
  • Perform various tasks to support company initiatives and goals as needed
  • Promote a positive office culture and environment
  • At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have
  • Two years experience interacting with freight carriers
  • Experience in negotiations
  • Salesforce/CRM experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical savvy (Mac experience strongly preferred, but not required)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude & team player
  • A goal-oriented & proactive mindset (self-starter)
  • An extremely detail oriented mindset
  • Ideally, You'll Also Have
  • Experience working in eCommerce supply chain
  • Experience with various modes of transportation and/or warehousing operations
  • Proficiency in Excel (or equivalent program)
  • A track record of success
  • An ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
