About the Role
The People Services team connects business needs with employee needs, and the Senior People Services Business Partner (SPSBP) is a key strategic member of the team. The role will understand, partner and deliver people initiatives that engage and develop the Houzz Product & Technology (P&T) Organization. With your mastery of relationship building, people analytics and broad HR practices, you will be positioned as an organizational leader that helps transform and drive Houzz toward continued levels of success.
What You'll Do
  • Build valuable relationships across all leadership and cross-functional teams by asking questions, modeling plans and sharing solutions
  • Conduct gap analysis and needs assessments in order to understand people needs and organizational opportunities
  • Partner with our People Service Ops, Talent Acquisition, P&T Leadership, Finance and Legal teams to gather data on organizational trends
  • Use design thinking principles to bridge organizational and people related strategies
  • Use people analytics and experience to proactively share insights, guide decision making and action on iterative solutions in workforce planning
  • Provide expertise and coach managers on appropriate people management best practices, including org design, performance management, employee relations, reward & recognition and transition strategies
  • In a strategic partnership and advisory role, help to drive employee engagement and culture with the People Experience team
  • Ensure business needs are being met through progressive evaluation of active plans, programs and initiatives
  • Communicate and drive the consistent implementation of the company's people practices and provide coaching and consultation to P&T management
  • Coach leadership on people strategies including hiring, performance management, compensation, recognition and career development
  • Work closely with leadership and employees to improve team and leadership effectiveness, build morale and increase engagement and retention
  • At a Minimum, We'd Like You to Have
  • 5+ years experience as an HR practitioner with experience as an HRBP equivalent for a Technology organization 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business or a related field
  • Strengths in our critical competencies, which include: Business Minded, Forward looking, Resourceful, Team Player, Drives Development, Celebrates Diversity, Effective Communicator, Influencer, Agile Learner, Adaptable and Gritty
  • Ideally, You'll Also Have
  • Experience in staffing, workforce planning, performance management and business operations
  • Expertise in CA labor law; multi-state and international is a huge bonus
  • Successful change management experience
  • Executive/Leadership Coaching
  • Workday experience or equivalent system experience
  • A Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Human Resources certification such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
