About the Role

Houzz’s Santa Monica office is located blocks from the iconic Santa Monica pier, near the expo line and I-10 interstate. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for solving a variety of technical challenges and driving the development of software that will revolutionize the home improvement industry. If developing forecasting and inventory management systems, relevancy, and targeting systems excite you, then we want to hear from you.

We are looking for someone who would be a great addition to a new and growing office working alongside former Google and Uber engineers. This is a unique opportunity to work in a start-up environment with the backing of a larger organization.

What You'll Do

Lead and evaluate technical tradeoffs

Drive the design and development of projects

At a Minimum, We’d Like You to Have

Experience working on ad serving systems

Experience with NoSQL databases

A good understanding of algorithms, network protocols and web services

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent

1-4 years of experience as a software developer

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

Passion for working in a dynamic and collaborative environment

Independence, self-direction and experience owning complete products and features
