Help us build the best team of nice and smart people that you have ever worked with! We have ambitious team growth plans through at Houzz and need a high energy, sales orientated individual on deck to help fuel this growth.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join us in the Tokyo office as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. The primary function of the role is to source sales and engineering candidates for our APAC offices. This person will be responsible for creating a pipeline of candidates via job boards and active sourcing of passive candidates. They will pre-screen the candidates' qualifications before presenting them to hiring managers and recruiters. You will also work on various projects related to our employment brand and overall recruitment pipeline. You will have an opportunity to learn about all aspects of the recruitment cycle through this in-house role, working with and learning from our experienced recruitment team spread across our international division.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Applying a sales mindset to hitting hiring targets
  • Build a pipeline of high quality candidates via job boards, recruitment events and active sourcing of passive candidates across a variety of profiles for our Tokyo office, mainly focused on sales and technical recruitment.
  • Qualify candidates prior to presenting to hiring managers and recruiters
  • Design and implement best practice sourcing techniques, assessing response rates and results and iterating on approaches, techniques and media to drive effectiveness.
  • Perform analysis and tracking of our job boards to asses ROI and suggest changes in order to enhance pipeline of qualified candidates.
  • Support various projects related to building the Houzz employment brand including internal and external events, job fairs, and various other projects.
  • Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Eagerness to develop a strong understanding of our Pro+ and Engineering departments and what makes the ideal Houzz candidate.
  • Expertise in recruitment in Japan and understanding of the job market
  • Adept at using passive sourcing tools, email, and social media to reach out to candidates .
  • Knowledge of Japanese job sites and effective tools
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written - you must be fluently bilingual in Japanese and English.
  • Excellent listener; ability to ask thoughtful questions to probe a candidate's skills and abilitiesImpeccable organisational skills
  • Comfortable on the phone, able to make hundreds of calls each week and build rapport with candidates easily.
  • Previous recruiting experience is a bonus but not required - we are happy to train the right person!
