Requirements

Due to the continued growth and success of iwoca, the business is looking for a senior individual to take ownership of the strategic partnerships function. The Head of Partnerships will be responsible for identifying new partnerships opportunities and making them happen, as well as, managing the relationship with existing strategic partners.

The Head of Partnerships will, also, report to our Commercial Growth Director and collaborate with the executive team to drive results and influence the direction of the business.

Specific responsibilities will include:-

• Leading the development of iwoca’s strategic partnerships to achieve revenue targets
• Reviewing the market for potential partnerships and evaluating opportunities, and then communicating the business case to senior stakeholders to gain their buy in and support
• Initiating new partnership discussions and finding your way to the key decision-makers in the target partner’s business
• Creating commercial proposals and defining a value proposition that will deliver significant ROI for iwoca and the partners
• Negotiating and agreeing contracts with new partners

Once the Head of Partnerships has agreed the commercials for individual partnerships, they will take ownership for successfully implementing the partnerships and managing the performance. This will likely involve building a team to allow the Head of Partnerships to focus on continuing to develop new partnerships.

Specific account management responsibilities will include:

• Working with other internal iwoca teams, including Product, Tech and Operations to oversee the implementation of new partnerships
• Account management of partners, including building effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels
• Managing communications with each partner
• Handling product and customer queries received from partner staff
• Liaising with iwoca’s marketing team to coordinate and deliver joint marketing activity with our partners
• Tracking, analysing and managing the performance of each partnership

In addition to the above, the Head of Strategic Partnerships will also representing iwoca at industry/networking events and conferences.

Required experience and attributes:-

• The Head of Partnerships will be an experienced partnerships executive, with a strong commercial acumen and the ability to build credibility at the executive level.
• They will be entrepreneurial, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where they can combine their strong commercial instinct, with an eye for detail and a sense of urgency.
• The successful candidate will be tenacious, a self-starter who can make things happen when faced with ambiguity, and will possess a can-do attitude. This will be combined with exceptional communication skills and the ability to articulate information clearly and simply.

They will have:-

• A proven track record of defining a partnerships strategy and executing it to achieve revenue targets. This will involve identifying, evaluating and negotiating commercial partnerships, and taking them from concept through to market roll out

• Experience defining the value proposition for strategic partnerships, and defining how commercial and strategic success will be measured

• Strong commercial and contract negotiation experience
• Experience of working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment
