Description
Join one of Europe’s leading Fintech startups
At iwoca we believe finance should make life easier, not harder, for small businesses. When small businesses go to traditional lenders they are forced to deal with long waits, absurdly rigid criteria, and impersonal bureaucracies. We believe small businesses deserve a financing service that strips out the hassle; that gets to know each customer’s needs; that generates opportunities instead of problems. iwoca is finance, custom-built to expand possibilities for small business. Since 2012, we've made finance available to over 50,000 businesses across Europe and lent over £1 billion. Our customers include everything from cafés to car dealers, salons to solicitors.
Your mission will be to help us test and grow the market for new lending products, starting with an innovative “No Personal Guarantee” loan.
You’ll focus on:
- Identifying customer segments with specific needs that match (and inform the design of) our new lending products
- Working with marketing to identify the channels and messages that will help us reach our target customer segments
- Work with the digital product ‘build teams’ to create customer journeys for new lending products, presenting them to the right customers at the right time, and making sure we focus our messaging on customer needs
- Testing and learning as quickly as possible across customer research, marketing test and customer journey tests. We’re a young organisation with the ability to make decisions quickly and change direction as and when new evidence arises.
You’ll be sitting with the Customer Product team, and work closely with the marketing, partnerships, risk and finance teams, as well as with senior management.
Requirements
We look for people that are smart, humble, motivated and who are always looking to improve. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Proven experience growing a fintech product. You’ve managed a fintech product that has grown quickly by delivering on customer needs
- Detailed technical knowledge of lending products would be a plus
- Experience with a ‘test and learn’ approach to growing a product. You’re comfortable taking on risk and making decisions with limited initial information - and then updating your views as you learn what works and what doesn’t.
- Experience working with multiple teams to solve complex problems. People will be there to help you when you need it, but you’ll own the new products you’re working on and will be accountable for driving growth
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. You’ll be able to concisely and clearly explain the benefits of our new products - internally, and, much more importantly, to our customers
- Some experience working with digital customer journeys. You have a baseline knowledge of how to deliver a product through a digital channel and are able to work well with PMs, designers and developers
- Ability to thrive in a scale-up environment. We’re not quite a start-up any more, and we’re not even close to a big corporate. We’re growing quickly, which means lots of opportunities but also some change
In return, you’ll get a say in how things are done, the opportunity to make a difference to small business owners, and to work on big and challenging projects.
