Tech Business Analyst

Description

iwoca is breaking down the barriers that stop Europe’s 20 million small businesses accessing finance. Traditional banks are slow with rigid terms and burdensome criteria. In contrast, we use technology to offer flexible access to credit with five minute online applications and near-instant decisions.

Since 2012, we've lent over £500 million to almost 20,000 businesses across Europe. Our customers include everything from cafés to car dealers and salons to solicitors. Along the way we‘ve built a sophisticated technology platform, won numerous awards and grown to a smart, vibrant, fun team of almost 200 people.

Despite this, we know we’re still small. Our aim is to fund a million small business within a decade and make a real dent on the funding gap, so we need more smart, hands-on people to help us reach this goal.

The role

We’re looking for a Tech Business Analyst to help maximise the impact our Customer Success team have on our customers by driving improvements to internal systems and processes. You’ll be responsible for identifying business requirements and communicating these effectively to the tech team, as well as managing the testing and roll out of new systems and features.

  • Get to know iwoca’s internal processes inside out, so you have a real insight on the problems we’re facing
  • Work closely with the Product Manager, developers and analysts to find and build the best solution to our problems by clearly articulating business requirements, challenging ideas from the perspective of the user and considering internal processes throughout the entire lifecycle of a project
  • Develop a strong relationship with the business: you’ll be constantly talking to and shadowing internal users to gather feedback on our systems - whether it’s spotting bugs, minor improvements, or manual processes we should automate - as well as facilitating communication of these to the tech team
  • Create project backlogs and prioritise tasks based on business value, ensuring that the team is working on what will have the most impact
  • Manage the roll-out of new and updated functionality to the business, writing training materials/release notes and ensuring we drive utilisation while minimising disruption
  • Track and monitor new features’ performance and functionality after launch to iterate and improve on them (e.g. qual metrics including user interviews, CSA feedback. Quant metrics including session time, drop-off rates, retention.) Product feature improvements will be based on business goals and user needs
