Business Analyst Finance (m/f) | Hamburg

Description

• Conduct business analysis to determine how changing business needs will affect the system or product; clearly articulate the business need and potential solutions with support of insightful analysis and documented evidence;
• Recognize patterns in complex information and identify key issues. Identify gaps between business requirements and existing or proposed design solutions;
• Contribute ideas and solutions to management to enhance design and deliverables. Understand technical concepts and how they impact the project/business;
• Work with business areas to identify areas of risk for errors and omissions;
• Identify and interview key individuals to gather needed details and direction to define business requirements;
• Document business requirements gathered from business users, sponsors  and clients, and obtain user sign off on the requirements;
• Transform defined business requirements into functional requirements IT specifications and present to engineers for solution design;
• Build the bridge between Finance, Business and IT needs and requirements;
• Support system implementation and system integration;
• Transfer your gained Change knowledge to your team members in Finance.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computational science (Data Science, Finance, Accounting, IT, Wirtschaftsinformatik (or related field)) or equivalent experience required;
• 4+ years of professional working experience in a Banks, Financial Institutions or consultancy;
• Detailed understanding of common industry standard business practices as related to Accounting (AR, AP, GL, Invoicing); Revenue Management and Support (Case Management);
• Ability to work independently;
• Proven strong quantitative abilities;
• Fluent in English and ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages is helpful, with a strong preference for German, Spanish and/ or Polish;
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment;
• Previous consulting experience as a System Architect or System integrator is useful;
• Experience with any ERP, sub-ledger or General Ledger implementation;
• Experience with analytic tools (Excel, SQL);
