The scope of the role is to enhance and improve the credit risk appetite framework, policies and strategies using statistical techniques to balance between business growth and impairment costs. Monitor risk management performance of credit products/portfolios.
A day in this job
Develop an accurate and timely Credit & Portfolio Risk Management framework, focusing on analysis, reporting and control for our global consumer finance activities, within the department;
Support Data Science, Strategic Analytics, and Risk departments as well as senior management in policy-setting, building analysis and reporting excellence for loan portfolios on the book, ultimately contributing to profitability and growth;
Work with Business Intelligence and Underwriting department on supporting tactical and strategic Credit Risk Analytics projects;
Independently manage development and implementation of effective credit-risk monitoring and management strategies that help balancing between risk and reward;
Develop solutions to ensure the accuracy of credit risk measurement and the capture of necessary data to support future credit model development;
Own important credit risk analysis and support management decision on related topics, including: Impairment analysis based on statistical models, suggesting feedback to scoring model and feedforward for budgeting; Risk-return monitoring; Scenario analysis; Product Profitability/Pricing; Data Governance;
Apply subject matter expertise to the prioritization and planning of projects in conjunction with risk management policies and strategies;
Desired skills and experience
At least 3 years experience in Consumer Credit Risk Analysis/Portfolio Credit Risk Management for a consumer lending organization or a rating agency;
University/postgraduate degree in a Mathematics, Economics, Operations Research, Statistics;
Capability to clearly develop and communicate analysis and key initiatives;
A good understanding of Credit life cycle and Collections/Recoveries;
Hands-on expertise in developing and managing segmentation;
Ability to work efficiently in a matrix environment balancing between both business and functional interactions and priorities;
Fluent in English and ideally also in German. Any other languages would be a plus;
Experience in using analytical softwares such as SQL, Excel, SAS/SPSS, R/Python.
