Senior IT System Administrator (m/f) | Hamburg

Description

• Provide product and technical direction for the core business;
• Help in administering a virtualized environment built on HyperV;
• Project implementation, and support services for Microsoft Server technologies (i.e. Windows Server, HyperV, SQL Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Wsus, etc.);
• Network monitoring and issue resolution for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and other security products;
• Perform tasks detailed in support tickets assigned, and document actions are taken to resolve issues, client contact information, network diagrams, expenses, etc. in an efficient, professional and timely manner;
• Interface with users and vendors to implement projects and resolve technical issues;
• Ensure system stability, scalability, security and performance requirements;
• Proactively identify areas that need improvement and develop solutions to address them;
• Assist with Enterprise backups and recovery;
• Manage IT security monitoring and alerting systems;
• Will be responsible for performing vulnerability scans, remediating vulnerabilities, performing system patching;
• Level 1 - 3 support as required;
• SaaS applications administration and integration into a hybrid environment.

Essential

• 6+ years of experience working with enterprise Windows platforms;
• Windows 2012 Services as well as LDAP;
• Good understanding of network, data center and server security standards, solutions, etc.;
• Strong understating of physical versus virtual servers including migrations, capacity planning, etc.;
• Knowledge of security solutions such as removable media, malware, anti-spam, anti-virus, server hardening, patching, etc.;
• Experience with asset inventory/management systems;
• Computer engineering, application packaging, software distribution, etc.;
• Good level of English is a must.

Preferred

• Knowledge of German;
• Worked in the Fintech/financial institution space;
• Have AWS experience;
• IT Certifications;
• Understand corporate firewall best practices;
• Experience in hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud);
• Worked with SAML 2.0 technologies.
