We are looking for an experienced Engineering Leader to join our fast-growing team based in Mumbai!
Your Role
- Responsibility for building, growing and managing the entire Kreditech India Engineering team;
- Build a team of up to ten Software Engineers and QA Engineers; expand further as required to support the continued growth of our business in India;
- Work closely with your counterparts in Germany and Poland to define, agree, follow, and refine group-wide IT-standards; align closely with centrally developed and maintained components;
- Technical ownership of India-specific components; ensure expandability and scalability;
- Work closely with our India Country organization to support the rapid growth of the business;
- Manage the commercial side and business value of development and ensure sufficient processes and tools are in place to meet the requirements of the business and customers;
- Work closely with product owner India to ensure product development is in line with requirements;
- Provide aggregated overview reporting of the Engineering function.
Your Strengths
- Experience working across various technology stacks, experience in Java/JVM-based stacks as well as with cloud service providers is a strong plus;
- Strong network in the Indian tech community;
- Experience working in Financial Services, preferably Consumer Lending is a strong plus;
- Master, Diploma or PhD in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Management or a related field;
- A senior, very skilled, manager. Seen as a source of knowledge within engineering management. At least 5 years of experience in a Engineering management role;
- Experience in line management of Software Engineers across multiple teams;
- Leadership qualities and ability to act as a mentor;
- Deep knowledge in software development processes and IT governance;
- Pedagogic abilities, you translate between software development and management/business side;
- Experience in software development, either as a scrum master, project manager or software developer.
