We are looking for :
GROUP ACCOUNTING
POSITION SCOPE
- Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements
- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Address tight deadlines and all of accounting activities including consolidation preparation, financial reporting, quarterly and year end audit preparation
RESPONSIBILITY
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close (under US GAAP)
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
- Assist the Finance Director in the daily finance activities
- Supervise the Group Accounting team to ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
- Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Responds to inquiries from the Director of Finance, Controller, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests
- Responds to inquiries and requests from the Corporate Accounting Department (US based)
- Work with the Finance Director to ensure a clean and timely year end audit
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed
- Support Finance Director with special projects and workflow process improvements
- Preparation of Annual Statutory consolidated Financials (under ITA GAAP and IFRS)
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
Finance & Accounting
Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and Italian GAAP
Integrity
Fluent english and strong verbal and written communication skills
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES
Between 4 and 5 years in an Audit firm (Big 4)
Additional experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area of other companies is preferred
