Job description:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a book of Mergermarket and Unquote subscribers in EMEA. This will involve establishing relationships with users and decision makers, managing competitive risks to ensure the renewal of existing subscriptions. On top of this you will be responsible for upselling additional Mergermarket and Unquote content and will run the whole 360-degree sales cycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all areas of account management, including the development of good account understanding, understanding clients' businesses and resolving issues in a timely manner; understand competitor solutions the customer is using and the subscribers’ current and developing needs
  • Develop and execute a plan to manage all account renewals
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue within the set of accounts (up-selling and possibly cross-selling), and managing the full sales cycle from start to finish
  • Collaborating with the Relationship Management team to ensure existing subscribers derive value from their subscription
  • Develop and cultivate relationships at the highest levels within existing subscribers and prospects
  • Present live or remote product demonstrations for prospective user groups
  • Manage Sales Forecast of forthcoming renewals, additional sales opportunities, plus the associated revenue and timescales
  • Plan regular business trips to a defined territory and represent Acuris at required industry events
  • Work collaboratively with other products within Acuris to optimise revenues for the overall business

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous Sales or Account Management experience
  • A proven track record of success in managing accounts and sales
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills
  • Experience working with and presenting to senior level executives
  • Strong results orientation, with the commitment and drive to achieve retention and growth goals in a demanding and competitive business environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in face-to-face meetings to ensure smooth progression of renewals and sales opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and customers, to ensure time is maximized for revenue-retaining activities
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, questioning, written and verbal)
  • Ability to report and forecast in a timely and accurate manner
  • An interest in the financial markets, M&A and Private Equity
