Associate Analyst

Description

The position will provide an opportunity for career growth and the junior analyst will get to work alongside an experienced analyst and journalist team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for collecting and organizing relevant data and maintaining various databases.
• Working with senior analysts to publish fundamental credit research. This will include reading through financial statements, bond documents, and other information sources in order to pull out relevant details and help create a cohesive analysis.
• Will need to be available for ad hoc requests as well as help compile a weekly report which tracks bond price movements within the high yield universe, as well as a quarterly report which tracks major restructuring situations in Asia.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• At least one year experience in a research or analyst role. Accounting or financial background will be considered a plus.
• Strong English writing skills. The ideal candidate will also be proficient in Chinese, and any additional Asian languages will be considered a plus. Candidates should be prepared to take a writing test.
• The candidate must have the ability to sift through large volumes of information in order to extract relevant details.
