Competition Policy Reporter

Description

PaRR (Policy and Regulatory Report), an Acuris-owned company, is looking to hire a full-time reporter to cover the highest-profiled competition-related conduct investigations out of our Washington DC bureau. This exciting role will supplement the PaRR product’s analytical news service, which provides insights into competition law and regulatory developments around the world.

The Competition Policy Reporter will be involved with writing breaking news and detailed analysis on Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission investigations into monopolization and cartel activities as well as efforts on Capitol Hill to modernize the US federal antitrust laws to meet the needs of the digital age.

This is a fantastic role for a journalist keen to develop a career specializing in reporting on matters at the intersection of politics, business and law. The right candidate would join a talented team of reporters to further develop legal reporting expertise in a fast-paced business news environment.

The role will be based in Washington DC and will work together with our global team of reporters across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Opportunities to travel may present themselves from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; and
• 1-3 years of training or experience in journalism
• Knowledge of US antitrust laws/issues is preferred
