Journalist - PaRR

Description

PaRR, part of global financial reporting media Acuris, is a global news service used by law firms, government agencies and companies across the globe to track competition law developments

We are looking for a France correspondant to be based on Paris to work on French and European antitrust investigations, litigation and policy issues

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a network of local contacts
• Generate off-diary stories on a range of complex topics
• Cover conferences and court cases within France and further afield
• Provide live reporting as required
• Work closely with editorial team in other offices

Skills & Requirements:

• We are looking for a driven, creative individual, capable of working independently and with colleagues across Europe
• The ideal candidate will be a keen and enthusiastic self-starter, with experience breaking news in a fast-paced newsroom or wire agency
• Fluency in French and English is essential, as is a background in reporting or a proven ability to write to speed
• Flexibility to travel within France and occasionally further afield

Nice to have:

• A background in EU policy affairs, knowledge of other languages
